Vena Ree Poulsen Stromberg, 86, was reunited with her sweetheart Jay C. Stromberg on November 28, 2021. Vena was born on June 19, 1935 to Reed G. Poulsen and Thelma Passey in Rupert, Idaho. Vena graduated from Ogden High School and was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. She was a beloved daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, and friend. Vena will forever be missed by those who knew her. To know Vena was to love Vena.

Vena married Jay C. Stromberg on February 4, 1954, and they were later sealed in the Ogden LDS Temple. It was obvious that Jay and Vena loved each other very much—she showed this by tenderly caring for him through his battle with cancer.

Vena had many hobbies and activities she enjoyed, including volunteering for many years at the senior lunches in Huntsville. Vena treasured spending time with her family at the cabin she and Jay built in the Uinta’s. She also loved playing card games with her family and friends.

The most important thing in Vena’s life was her family. She was a loving grandparent who supported her grandchildren—she and Jay showed their support by attending the many activities their grandchildren were involved in. These activities included: puppet plays, choir concerts, graduations, sporting events, and more. She and Jay also enjoyed being part of their son-in-law’s off-road-racing team for many years.

Vena is survived by her children: Sid (Teresa) Stromberg, Marc (Louise) Stromberg, Paul (Christine) Stromberg, Joan (David) Morse, Ryan (Wendy) Stromberg, daughter-in-law Kathleen Stromberg; Sisters: Riona Daley, Linda Poulsen, Relada Reed; and 23 grandchildren and 37 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband Jay, son Craig, parents, stepmother Layde Poulsen, sister Deon, and brothers Jay and Bryan.
