Danvers MA – Velvin M. (Smith) Swanson, 89, passed away peacefully Sunday, June 3, 2018. Born in Revere, MA, she graduated from Revere High School and Burdett College in Boston. She was the faithful wife of the late Wesley B. Swanson and devoted mother of their two children. She worked for many years as an administrative professional for various companies, finally retiring fully at age 82. A former resident of Winchester and Boxford, MA. She lived more recently in West Peabody. She is survived by her daughter Jennifer V. Swanson of Peabody, her son Bradford W. Swanson, his wife Jennifer A. Swanson, and cherished grandson Parker M.B. Swanson of Eliot, ME, siblings: Donald W. Smith of Braintree, Myrle Dean of Portsmouth, RI, brother in law Donald H. Swanson of Winchester, MA and many nephews and nieces.
