Velma Versie Ross, 97 years, of Virginia, IL died December 7, 2006 at Heritage Manor South in Beardstown, IL.
She was born March 24, 1909 in Walnut Ridge, Arkansas the daughter of William and Mary Pierce Stidman. She married Paul Ross on August 19, 1926 in Walnut Ridge, AR and he preceded her in death in 1970.
She is survived by two sons, Wayne (wife, Ramona) Ross and Larry Dale (wife, Darlene) Ross all of the state of Washington; one daughter, Waseeta (husband, James) Sidebottom of Palm Harbor, FL; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren; also survived by several nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by three sons, James Ross, Sonny Ross, and Frankie Joe Ross; one daughter, Juanita Caldwell and twelve siblings.
Mrs. Ross was a home maker and of the protestant faith.
