Velma Patricia (Eades) Jarrell, 81, of Fortville, passed away Sunday, March 08, 2009 at Riverview Hospital in Noblesville. She was born August 13, 1927 in Lodge, IL to the late General and Ita (Gosser) Eades. Velma was a member and past officer of the VFW #6904 Ladies Auxiliary.
She had been a waitress at Buckley’s and Post Restaurants and had operated Velma’s Beauty Shop for 20 years, retiring in 1983. Velma is survived by son, David W. Jarrell; daughter, Patricia (Rick) France; brothers, Tommie, Glen, General, Jr., Richard, Johnnie, Ronald and Paul; sisters, Wilma Davis, Zelma Spencer, Virginia (Gordon) Huff; Rose (Martin) King and Cynthia Eades; grandchildren, Laura (Jesse) Flood; Reno (Ashley) Jarrell; Lennie Jarrell; and Brian Holmes; seven great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. She was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Leonard L. Jarrell; her parents; and brothers, Arnet, Garnet, Leslie, and Jimmie Joe.
