Velma Jean Brasier Plant, 89, passed away peacefully Sunday, May 1, 2016.
A daughter of Edgar L. and Mabel E. Neice Brasier, of blessed memory, she was born November 19, 1926, in Wichita, Kansas. She loved children, was a faithful member of John Wesley United Methodist Church, where she worked in Little Lambs Preschool, and had retired after 28 years of service with FDLE. Surviving are her children, Bob (Barbara) Plant, Bill (Eva) Plant, and Barbara Plant (Otis) Loper; grandchildren, Kim (Jason) Weinrich, Lyndi (Bill) Fruend, Joe (Kathy) Plant, Angela (Lauren) Cretegny, Kim (Brandon) Wienke, Andy (Jennifer) Weaver and Tabatha (Don) Rackley; ten great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by a sister, Norma Lee Showman, of Wichita, Kansas.
