Velma Georgia Adlington, 93, of Grafton, passed away Thursday, September 22, 2016, at the home of Lonnie and Donna Mayle. She was born March 2, 1923, in Grafton. daughter of the late George Dewey and Eva Poe Rogers. She was preceded death by her husband Norman W. Adlington, Sr. October 25, 1985, and her son Norman W. “Skeeter” Adlington, June 5, 2016, and a sister, Violet Hamilton.
Velma graduated from Grafton High School Class of 1939, and was Executive Secretary for the Taylor County Board of Education.
She is survived by her daughter-in-law, Linda Lake Adlington, three grandchildren, Rodney Adlington and wife Allison, Bridgeport, Tracy Adlington and wife, Sue Koval, Northville, MI, Jarod Adlington, Huntington, two great grandchildren; Jada Lynn Adlington and Paislee Lynn Adlington.
