Velma Mae Bellamy, 82, of Flemingsburg, passed away Wednesday, August 31, 2022, at her residence.

Born in May’s Lick on March 13, 1940, she was the daughter of the late Stanley Claypoole and the late Elma Robb Claypoole.

Velma was a factory worker and housekeeper. She was a volunteer grandparent for the local Fleming County Headstart. She was a member of the Jehovah’s Witness faith.

She is survived by four of her children, Candy K. (Serafin) Arvizo, Debbie (Robbie) Turner, Terry Bellamy, and  Paul Bellamy; her seven grandchildren,  Christina (Willy) Hernandez, Amanda McClanahan, Travis Bellamy, Trent Bellamy, Ryan Ratliff, Katie Turner (Brandon Williams), and  Seth Turner; her eight great grandchildren, Ashton Woods, Angel Hernandez , Gary Auston (Allyson) Brierley, Dalton McClanahan, Candy McClanahan, Christian McClanahan, Dani Bellamy, and Ezra Bellamy; her two great, great grandchildren, River Williams and Regan Brierley. She is also survived by three of her siblings, Everett (Patsy) Claypoole, Mary Elizabeth Claypoole, and Carol Lee (Jim) Galbraith; along with special friends, Tom Holland and Betty Stewart.

In addition to her parents Stanley and Elma, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Elma Jean Ratliff; her great grandchild, Marissa Jewel Woods;  six of her siblings, Glenn Robb Claypoole, Raymond Davis Claypoole, Carolyn Eitel, Betty Ann Donatelli, Gerald Wayne Claypoole, Donna Sue Manning.
