Born January 8, 1973 and passed July 16, 2020 at the age of 47. Velda was born and raised in Columbus, Ohio. She was employed with CDCF Head start for 18yrs. Velda had many accomplishments and held many degrees in in Child Development.
Velda was preceded in death by her father Cornelius Bozman, Dad Fred Travis, brother, Jeffery Tanner, Brother-n law Curonn Woods, Brothers -n-law Michael Gravely, Sister Latasha Mayo, Tracy Travis, Nephew Jefferey Tanner Jr.
She was survived by husband Curtis Woods, daughters- Ebony Harris, Mia Woods, Mother – Pauline (Clarence) Huntley, Mother-n-law Joyce Woods, Brothers; Jose Tanner, Cornelius (Bo) Bozman, Sisters: Monika Bozman, Sister -n-law – Tonya Woods, Brother -n-law -Jerome (Christina) Woods, Grandchildren; J’mikel Harris, J’Sean Harris McCamey, Ja’mia Underwood, Special Nieces; Quaniya Gravely, Jayonna, Jaybreya, Close friends: Mary, Tiffany and Nikki.
Velda was loved by everyone. She was a good wife, mother, daughter, grand-mother, and friend. Velda has worked since the age of 14yrs old and has always paid her wat on anything she does. She loved raising her kids and loved taking them on trips, cruises every other year, and would take them camping every year. Her family was always on the move. When Velda found out she was sick, she still took her kids to Disney World. She was the kind of person that would do anything to help her family. That is who Veld is! She was very close to her brother Jose and loved him so much.
Velda you left us too soon. We only hope that you are with your sister and brother. All your pain is gone, and your tears have all dried up. You are at peace now. A place that you deserved to be in.
We miss you and wish that you were her still, but you are not. So, until we see you again… You will always be in our hearts.
