Veda Vaught Funkhouser, 97, Anderson, died August 17, 2003 at St. Johns Health System, Anderson Indiana after a brief illness.
She was born May 10, 1906 in Burnt Prairie, Illinois, and was a resident of this area since 1927. She retired from Delco Remy Division of General Motors after 25 years. She was a member of East Lynn Christian Church for over 50 years. She was a 50 year member of Eastern Star and a 50 year member of the White Shrine.
She is survived by her daughter, Annabelle & husband Charles Nowlin of Pendleton; six grandchildren, Diana & husband Jerry Rysticken, Ronna & husband Jim Boone, Christina & husband Tim Hodges, Debra & husband Ben Clemens, Ramona & husband Joe Berry and Shirley & husband Tom Gorham; three step-grandchildren, Michael & wife Mary Ann Nowlin, Steven Nowlin and Penny & husband Kevin Gara; thirteen great grandchildrenand four great great grandchildren.
She was preceded by her husband of 51 years, Ray Funkhouser in August 1977; parents John B. & Amanda Stone Vaught, five sisters and one brother.
