Vaudia D. Hargis Boswell, 77, Anderson, passed away on August 14, 2007, at her residence after an extended illness. Our loss is Heaven’s gain. Everyone loved her.

She was born September 12, 1929, in Tennessee, and resided in Anderson since 1952. She owned and operated Boswell’s Greenhouse on South Main Street and retired from Nicholson File. She was a member of Valley Grove Free Will Baptist Church and the Ovid Chapter of the Order of Eastern Star.

She is survived by her husband whom she married on March 19, 1946: J.D. Boswell. Daughter: Pat & husband Bob Riddle of Anderson. Sisters: Alene Carr of Anderson, Peggy & husband Lillard Bilbrey of Anderson, Elise Dulworth of Pendleton, and Phyllis Faux of Anderson. Brother: John Hargis of Anderson. Grandchildren: Ty & wife Brenda Riddle and Elaine & husband John Poor. Great Grandchildren: Jordan Riddle, Austin Poor, and Kyle Poor.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Doyle & Bessie Greenwood Hargis; an infant brother, Harvey Hargis, and adult brother, Edward Hargis.
