Ms. Vanilla Graves, 92, of 1905 Blain St., High Point, died June 21, 2011 at the residence.
Mrs. Graves was born on May 27, 1919 to the late Peter E. Graves and Sallie Sawyer Graves. A High Point native, she relocated to New York and returned twenty years ago. She was employed as a seamstress and a member of Memorial United Methodist Church. She loved to cook and bake as well as music and gardening.
Additionally to her parents, a daughter Margie Lee Smith, seven sisters, and one brother preceded her in death.
Surviving relatives include nephews Lawrence Graves of High Point, and James Graves of New York, NY; one niece, Gladys Williams of Richmond, VA; grand nieces and nephews, numerous other family and friends.
