Valvina Arsola Foy 60, born and raised in Silver, New Mexico, entered eternal rest on Tuesday, September 20th, 2022 peacefully, surrounded by her family and loved ones.
Valvina was born on February 17, 1962 to parents Felipe and Eudolia Arsola. She married Jim Foy September of 1991. Valvina was a loving mother, grandmother, wife, aunt and friend. She was proud of serving her community through the Silver City Prospectors, Gila Regional Medical Center Board of Trustees as a member and chairperson, New Mexico Chihuahua Commission and as a political coordinator for several political campaigns. Valvina was a graduate of Western New Mexico University. Her early career started at Gila Regional Medical Center, she then joined Jim in the legal field for 20 years and managed Jim Foy and Associates for 14 years. She enjoyed hiking, camping, traveling and concerts. She was fond of cats throughout her life. Valvina enjoyed spending holidays, weekends and free time surrounded by her family.
Valvina is survived by her husband of 31 years, Jim Foy, of Silver City, NM; Daughter, Valerie Crooker-Flint (husband Joshuah Crooker-Flint; granddaughter, Olivia Crooker-Flint), Son, John Horton (grandson Jonathan Horton); Brothers, Rudolfo Arsola, Reynaldo Arsola and Roberto Arsola as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her mother, Eudolia Reade Arsola in 1995; father, Felipe M. Arsola in 1988; and a sister, Yolanda Arsola.
