Valerio Lucero, born in Albuquerque, NM, on June 22, 1939, to parents Premetivo and Lucinda Lucero. His dad has since passed away, but his beloved mother at age 95 is still living. At the age of two, he moved to the small village of Seboyeta, NM, where he resided with his Tata and Nana, Benino and Lupita Lucero, whom he adored. In approximately 1950, he moved back to Albuquerque with his Tata and Nana. Valerio was the eldest of seven siblings whom he loved with all his heart – Mary, Ray, Serafin, Nela, Irene, Frank, and Rita who has since passed away.
At the age of 13, Valerio was attending Ernie Pyle Middle school where he began dating his future bride, Trinnie Martinez. They dated until Valerio turned 18 years old and he married his beloved Trinnie, whom he adored for 59 glorious years. Valerio was a doting husband to his Trinnie, who was his queen, his life, his everything. They were married in 1957 in the old Holy Family Church on Atrisco road. Together they had four children – Steve, Rick, Lucille Diane, and Valerie. His beloved and eldest son, Steve has since passed away. His children married and their spouses (Liz, Greg, and Jack) became like his own. He had five grandchildren whom he loved with all his might – Missy, Vanessa, Stephanie, Gregory, and Jared. Missy has since passed away and is dancing with her Tata Valerio in heaven. He also had five great-grandchildren whom he loved – Aneesha, Terrick, Tayden, Gabriella, and Benina.
Valerio was a carpenter and a jack of all trades. He also enjoyed maintaining a huerta at home which was benefited by many. He was a man of God whom he served proudly. He was a dad who lead by example. He was a loving and faithful husband to his beloved Trinnie. He was loved by many in-laws, nephews, nieces, and friends, who he in-turn loved back.
Valerio was a beautiful and giving person. He touched many a hearts and will be missed. He is now walking with angels. Rest in God’s peace beloved husband, dad, tata, brother, uncle, and friend.
