WESCOTT, Mrs. Valerie Keidel, Portage. Valerie died early Friday morning, December 25, 2009. She was born September 24, 1936, in New York, NY, a daughter of Gerard and Marie Reiba Keidel. Valerie was an Assistant Professor of Technical Writing at Western Michigan University before retiring.
In May of 1966 Valerie was united in marriage with Anthony Wescott who preceded her in death in 2007. She was also preceded in death by her father. Surviving are: three children, Eric Christine Wescott, Gerard Tanya Wescott and Karla Wescott; her mother, Marie Keidel; a brother, Gerard Nancy Keidel; a sister, Lynn Michael Gulick; and nieces and nephews.
