Valerie Joyce Rudolph, 83, of Hackensack, Minnesota, journeyed home to be with her creator on Sunday, February 2, 2014 at the Brainerd Medical Center in with her family gathered by her side. Valerie was born on Tuesday, June 24, 1930 in Minneapolis, Minnesota the daughter of Arthur and Alice (Frase) Stevens.
Valerie enjoyed socializing with her family and friends especially during the times they vacationed up near Hackensack with everyone. She supported her husband, Dick and his long term job with the Shell Oil Company. Things Valerie enjoyed doing especially in her later years were cooking, watching the deer, turkeys and squirrels outside her window, and of course, shopping of any kind. She will be greatly missed for her sense of humor and her kindness and willingness to help when she could.
Valerie will be reunited with her loved ones waiting for her who include her parents, her beloved husband Dick, an infant son James, and her brothers Wallace, Ordell, Alden and Roman.
Those left behind to cherish her memory are her sons Dennis and his wife Linda Rudolph of Troy, Illinois, and Timothy and his wife Jennie Rudolph of Hackensack, Minnesota, brother Harley and his wife Mertie Stevens of Edina, Minnesota, grandchildren Denise Dougherty of Olathe, Kansas and Bart Rudolph of Anchorage, Alaska, and great grandchildren Payton and Haley Dougherty of Olathe, Kansas.
