Valerie Imogene Taylor of Hebron, NE the daughter of Earl L. and Valerie Isadore (Morgan)Newell was born May 26, 1930 in Concordia, KS. She departed this life Tuesday April 6, 2010 at Blue Valley Lutheran Nursing Home in Hebron, NE at the age of 79 years.
She grew up in the Concordia area and attended school graduating from High School at Concordia, KS. Valerie was a homemaker. She loved to cook, and taught Sunday school and bible school for many years.
Valerie married Melburn Earl Taylor in September of 1949 at Concordia, KS this union was blessed with the birth of two sons and two daughters. They moved to Hastings, NE in the 1950’s. In 1959, they moved to Geneva, NE, then later moved to Strang.
Valerie is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Earl, a granddaughter Miranda Taylor, twin infant sisters; Joy Ann and Joy Newell, and three brothers; Robert, Terry and Paul Newell.
She is survived by two sons; Ronald Taylor and wife Nancy of Hebron, NE, and Edward Taylor and wife Dawn of Grand Island, NE, two daughters; Elizabeth Havermann and husband James of Council Bluffs, IA, and Carrie Beaver and husband James of Brunswick, GA, one sister Shirley Hanthorn of Dallas, TX, 6 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
