Valentin T. Alejandro
April 17, 1948 – March 15, 2022
Valentin T. Alejandro was made up of many things such as people, places, and experiences. You see, his story started out on April, 17 1948 in Matamoros, Mexico. It was then and there that he was born to Jose Guadalupe Alejandro Faz and Maria Guadalupe T. Alejandro. Moreover, it’s safe to say that one of his first major experiences was immigrating here to Harlingen, Tx – which is where he called home for the rest of his life. As a youth he migrated North with his family, many times to operate in the fields. He had a fervor for playing guitar and making music with his garage band, which would perform locally back in the late 60s. At the age of 20 he was drafted into the United States Army and was then stationed in Korea. Now, although this experience was sapping and enervating even after it was over, he pushed on and kept writing his story. Valentin went on to attain his B.A. Degree in Sociology in the year 1977, from Pan American University in Edinburg, TX. Additionally, throughout his life he was involved in many pursuits such as collecting vintage automobiles, guitars, and restoring old items to their former glory. Yes, Valentin did indeed go on to do many amazing things, however, there was one aspect of his life that was most precious to him. This, was his lasting relationship with his God, Jehovah. Until the very end he spoke valiantly about his faith, love, and, trust that he had in Jehovah’s promises of the future.
Although, Valentin never married or had children, he was and still is cherished by many, these include his immediate surviving siblings such as, Jose Reyes Alejandro, Juan T. Alejandro, Hugo T. Alejandro, Elizabeth A. Adame, and Noemi A. Montemayor.
