Valarie, our beloved Mom, Grandma, and GG, passed away from complicated health issues on Friday, October 29, 2021, at Idaho Falls Community Hospital.
Valarie was born May 21, 1950, to parents, Agnes Elmore and William West in Jacksonville, Florida. She spent most of her youth on the beaches of Florida, alongside her brother, Billy. She loved swimming, nature, and had a passion for animals. She was a born nurturer, favoring cats most of all. As a young adult, she was blessed with two beautiful sons, Darrin “Lee” Linde and Robert “Eric” Lindemann. She was a young single mother that devoted her entire life to raising and teaching them important family values. They spent time in Minnesota, North Carolina, and Florida before settling in southern California to build her family for over 20 years. Her family moved to Idaho in 2006, and she followed shortly after, and made Idaho her new and final home.
Valarie was a Christian who believed in helping others. She strongly believed this was the greatest way of demonstrating Christian love, and she was always there and willing to help anyone and anytime if they needed.
She loved doing crafts and she would “bedazzle” everything she could get her hands on. She loved collecting angel, dolphin, Boston Terrier, and cat figurines. Valarie was an amazing photographer of animals, nature, and her family.
Her greatest success in life were her kids and grandchildren. She was the proudest grandmother and could talk for days about them all.
She is survived by her son, Lee (D) Linde; grandchildren, Elizabeth (Alana) Linde, Brandon (Brittany) Linde, Marrina (Stetson) Cooper, Taylour (Matt) Linde, Amanda (Jordan) Bueder, Donovan (Kiley) Linde, Aryana Litchie, and Emma Lindemann; nine great grandchildren, Starr, Novalee, Ethan, Isabella, Liam, BayLee, Logan, Dylan, and Lincoln.
She is preceded in death by her parents; brother, Billy West; and granddaughter, Rebecca Linde.
The family would like to thank all the staff and other residents at Broadway Fields Assisted Living for loving and taking care of Valarie. A special thanks to MaKaila, she loved you so much. Thank you for being her friend and someone she could trust.
