Vahl T. Warren

Our beloved son, husband, father, uncle and friend Vahl T. Warren passed away peacefully at St. Marks Hospital in Salt Lake City, Utah on September 28, 2016.

Vahl was born in Afton, Wyoming on February 6, 1950 to Gaylen and Darlene Warren and graduated from Bonneville High School in Washington Terrace. He served honorably in the U.S Air Force Reserves.

Vahl was a skilled craftsman and spent most of his working career as a journeyman sheet metal worker in the Local 312 Union. When you are in Salt Lake City take note of the copper on the State Capitol dome or the intricate cupolas on the City and County building and think of him.

Vahl was a perfectionist in all that he did and valued his family life more than everything else. He was available anytime to lend a hand and always ensured everyone’s needs were taken care of before his own. Vahl spent his free time tinkering in his shop, finding bargains at the Ogden swap-meet and going to breakfast with his family.

Vahl is survived by Deborah Ann Warren, his wife of 43 years, and their children: Marnie Hammer, Monte (Dana) Warren. Also surviving is his mother Darlene Warren and siblings: Dahl (Barbara) Warren, Sandra (Richard) Smith, Brent Warren and Scott (Kelly) Warren and many nieces and nephews. Vahl was proceeded in death by his father Gaylen Warren.
