VADA ALICE TACKETT, age 96 of Manassas, Virginia died Tuesday, March 12, 2002 at her daughters home in Midland, Virginia. Mrs. Tackett was born November 7, 1905 in Dickenson County, Virginia daughter of the late Andrew Jackson and Laura Ann Dyre Delaney. She moved to Prince William County in 1960. She was a member of the Manassas Church of The Lord Jesus, Nokesville and was formerly active with the Senior Citizens Club in Manassas. She was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, William McKinley Tackett who died in 1984, three sons, Asa Harold Tackett, James Avery Tackett and Troy Lee Tackett and two daughters, Catherine Tackett Rowe and Anna Jean Thacker. Survivors include two daughters, Billie D. Tackett Davis and her husband, Floyd, of Manassas and Pauline R. Tackett Farmer and her husband, Bill, of Midland, one sister, Versa Mullins, of Clintwood, one brother, Carson Delaney, of Williamsburg, 22 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren and 17 great-great grandchildren.
