Vada Evaline Bartel, 84, of Canon City, CO passed away unexpectedly at her home November 18, 2013. She was born June 19, 1929 at the family home near Longdale, Oklahoma to Thomas Marvin and Nannie June (Youell) Boston. On January 22, 1946, Vada married her high school sweetheart, Clinton Ray Bartel. They lived the first ten years in Oklahoma, where they started their family with three daughters, Gloria, Sharon, and Arlene. In 1956, the family moved to Canon City, CO. Vada worked day and night as a homemaker. The inside and outside of their home showed that she ran a tight ship.
