Ursulo Limas was born in Doña Ana, NM, on July 30, 1930, to Benito Limas and Soledad Chavira. He had 5 brothers and 3 sisters all who have passed.  He was also preceded in death by his daughter, Silvia Limas and son, Octavio Limas.  He grew up in Camargo, Chihuahua and later moved back to Hatch, NM, to work in the fields. He’d traveled back and forth between Hatch and Camargo, Chihuahua, where he later met his wife Amalia and later married in July of 1955. Together they had 9 children; Guadalupe Limas of Eunice, NM, Rosa and Ricardo Mora of Hatch, NM, Jose and Socorro Limas of Eunice, NM, Yolanda and Enrique Gonzales of Eunice, NM, Rosalio Limas of Rincon, NM, Mague Limas of Las Cruces, Susana and Jorge Leyva of Doña Ana, NM. In 1986 he and Amelia moved to the Rincón/Hatch NM in 1997 when he retired from working in the fields they moved to Eunice, NM.  They have 20 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews who loved and will miss him.
