Una M. (Sally) Hill passed away April 1st, 2017. She was born in Pipe Creek, Texas to Sylvan R. and Lela Newcomer Odom, on July 16, 1923. She grew up on her great-grandfather’s ranch (Wyatt Dickerson) in Pipe Creek, which he homesteaded in 1880.
Una worked at the State Tuberculosis Hospital in San Antonio for many years. After moving to Boerne, she worked at Town and Country Nursing Home. She was a longtime member of the Bandera Order of the Eastern Star, Lodge #643. She was a friendly person, making you feel welcome and always willing to help others.
She is survived by sons: Lloyd and wife, Mary Ann; Richard and wife, Linda of Boerne, grandsons: Albert and wife, Jacqi of San Antonio; Rick of England, great grandson, J. R. Hill of San Antonio, sisters-in-law: Rosalee and Estelle Odom of Lakehills, plus other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her parents, her husband, Loyd, son, Douglas, and brothers: Loice and Harley Odom.
