Ulysses Lee Collins, 85, Anderson, died April 27, 2012 at his residence after brief illness.
He was born August 13, 1926 in Virginia. A former Noblesville resident, Ulysses had livied in Anderson since 1996. He served with the United States Army and retired from Firestone Tire & Rubber in Noblesville. Survivors include his wife, Lillie E. Sumpter Collins; two children, Larry L. Diane Collins & Nadine A. Collins; sisters, Dorothy Thomas, Shirley Collins, Grace Charles Hall & Hazel Delmas Redwine; two gandchildren, Lauren Collins & Christopher Collins; great granddaughter, Bentley Collins and several nieces & nephews, including special niece & nephew, Cathy & Matthew Marcum.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Hillery & Maggie Cooper Collins; and a sister, Addie Hilton.
