Ula Vaun Kirkman Nov. 4, 1953—Nov. 28, 2015 Ula Vaun Kirkman, 62, of Mesa Colorado. Passed away November 28, 2015 in Grand Junction Colorado, after a valiant fight against cancer for over 2 years. Ula was born on Nov. 4, 1953 to Erma and Clyde Kirkman, in Salt Lake City, Utah. Ula was a professional accordion player. She learned to play at the age of 10. Her passion was to play at senior centers, nursing homes, assisted living facilities, and dances. Ula was a much loved entertainer. Ula loved to fish, camp, hike, and play bingo. She also rescued many animals. She was known for her great sense of humor, caring and kindness. Ula is survived by her long-time partner Becky Strong, and many family and friends who love her.
