Ula E. Krieg, 85, of Anderson, passed away on January 2, 2013. She was born September 12, 1927 in Winchester, Kentucky and resided most of her life in Anderson.

She retired from Guide Lamp Division of General Motors after 17 years of service. Ula was the most energetic, positive, unselfish and sweetest mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend you would ever want. Her contagious smile, upbeat personality and witty demeanor never allowed for a dull moment when you were around her. She lived everyday to its fullest, and could light up a room when she walked in. If you encountered her, you were an immediate friend.

She enjoyed going to Captain D’s and Frische’s, and when she walked in, the atmosphere immediately changed. Her philosophy in life was, “Never give up to anything.” She spent many years working on the farm, always grew beautiful flowers, and was always on the go. She loved to spend time with her children, grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and her siblings. She established a very positive legacy that will live on in so many hearts.

Our loss is heavens gain. Ula is survived by her Daughter; Tammy Denny McCord of Anderson, Son; Marshall Devi Krieg, of Honolulu, HI; Grandchildren; Michelle Smith, MaryAnn Krieg, Jeremy Tracy Krieg, Kristin Krieg, Whitney Michael Siler and Steve Alena Abernathy; Great-grandchildren; Daniel Ball, Deric Ball, Drake Ball, Parker Smith, Jeffrey Krieg, Emma Krieg, Ashlynn Siler, Gavon Abernathy, Elijah Abernathy, Cameron Stout and Katherine Stout; One Great-great granddaughter; Mariah Ball.
