Tyren Morgan Hoskins, 23 passed away Monday, August 16, 2021 at McKay-Dee Hospital surrounded by family. He was born on July 24, 1998 in Layton, Utah and raised by loving parents Fred and Jodie Hoskins.
When Tyren was young he was our little buddy and he loved to laugh & play. Tyren’s first words were “Oh buddy” and “Tractor”. He loved dinosaurs and could tell you every fact about every dinosaur! This was also the time where he would somersault throughout the house instead of walking.
Tyren was very artistic in many ways. If you didn’t find him drawing or writing a story, he was most likely playing in the dirt, catching bugs, or rescuing a stray animal in the neighborhood. His love for animals and reptiles resulted in having 12 frogs, 3 cats, 3 dogs, 2 toads, 2 birds, a tarantula, a blind turtle, a couple of garden snakes, 4 hermit crabs & a goat all at one time!
He enjoyed family camping trips to Bear Lake, warm summer nights and sleeping out on the trampoline under the stars. In the fall he always looked forward to football practices & early Saturday morning football games! Tyren enjoyed school and loved learning. He loved English, math, equations, history and science. He studied hard and participated in honors programs at Weber High such as Project Lead the Way, a pre-engineering program. He was attending Weber State University with a goal to be a Physicist.
As Tyren turned into a young man, we watched him become his own person. He liked to take time for himself to go on hikes, fish, play video games, and make music. He has many friends and enjoyed playing pool and just hanging out. He would often share stories of the adventurous things he would do with his friends. He cherished each friendship and the memories.
Tyren has held many jobs. His first was at the movie theatre then he moved on to selling home solar panels, Lagoon, and making pizzas. Tyren’s efforts and dedication in his prior jobs gave him the confidence to become the Operations Manager, and his mom’s right hand, at the Mail Room. Tyren has always been driven, respectful, and loving to all his co-workers and customers. Many customers and co-workers have been impacted in a positive way by knowing and working with Tyren
Tyren was an amazing little brother and an even better “dad” and BIG brother to his two siblings Dawson and Ellie. There are no words that can describe the love they shared. No doubt, he will be by their side to guide them.
Tyren always told those who were close to him “I love you” before going about his day; that’s the last memory so many of us will forever remember of him.
Tyren is survived by his parents Fred and Jodie Hoskins; brothers Tyler (Brianna) Hoskins, Jedd (Anndee) Hoskins, Dawson Hoskins, Shaye Garcia, Jaques Garcia; sisters Marckia (Pelon Dominguez) Hoskins, Ellie Hoskins; three nieces and two nephews.
Tyren was preceded in death by grandparents Orange and Gwendolyn Hoskins, RoyDel and LoNita Norris, and by his niece Valyntina Dominquez
