Tsuneko Hayashi passed away on December 18th in Canon City in the presence of her three children.
She was born January 3, 1931 in Raymond, Alberta as the sixth of eight children to her parents, Buhachi and Aiko.
Tsuneko is survived by her brothers: Take and Sway and sister Ruriko, children: Junior, Jin, and Ori and grandchildren Lawrence and Andrew, and many nieces and nephews.
Tsuneko grew up in Raymond and graduated from nursing school in Edmonton in 1953. She worked as a nurse in Raymond, Salt Lake City, Philadelphia, Seattle, Cleveland, Bountiful, and Denver. She married Kazuto Hayashi, Sr. and moved to Florence in 1963. She had three children and was a devoted mother, wife and fabulous cook. In her spare time she loved gardening, reading, and crafting. She worked at Saint Joseph Hospital in Florence from 1963-1982 and Hildebrand Care Center in Canon City from 1982-1986.
