William Grant “Bill” Curtis, Sr. of Gulf Breeze, Florida passed away peacefully at home on July 23, 2021, after a lengthy illness. Bill was born on February 26, 1938 in North Canaan, CT to the late Louis G. and Margaret Curtiss. He proudly served in the United States Air Force for 20 years from August 1955 to August 1975 and was a Veteran of the Vietnam War.
He is survived by his wife, Nancy A. Curtis, sister, Mary Logerwell, sister, Margaret Canevari, and brother James D. Curtiss, He is also survived by his 5 children from his first marriage – Denise A. Curtis, Lynne H. Crosby (Ken Crosby), William G. Curtis Jr (Stephanie Curtis), Lori K. Mitchell (David Mitchell) and Jeffrey P. Curtis (Cindy Curtis) and by 17 grandchildren and 19 (#20 on the way) great-grandchildren along with numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by 5 siblings, Shirley Smith, Johnny Curtiss Sr., Edith J. Thomen, Joseph Curtiss, and Louis G. Curtiss.
