Truman Bassett, born August 18, 1935, in Randolph County, AL, passed away March 11, 2022, in Newnan, GA. He was preceded in death by his parents, Fred W. and Gladys Bassett. He is survived by his wife, Ellen Kirby Bassett of over 60 years; daughter, Karen Bassett; son, Rick Bassett; daughter in-law, Michelle (Mickie) Bassett; granddaughter, Kaycee Landrum; grandson in-law, Austn Landrum and great-granddaughter, Kamzie Mae Landrum. He is also survived by his brother, Fred A. (Pete) Bassett along with many other relatives.
Truman honorably served his country in the Army from 1957 to 1960. He worked for many years in the building materials field before retiring. Truman loved his family deeply. The family is at peace knowing he is now with Our Lord and Savior.
