Troy Wayne Taylor, 84, of Boerne went to be with the Lord on Friday, September 6, 2019. He will be buried in Boerne Cemetery on Saturday, September 28, 2019 at 4:00 PM.
Troy was born in Memphis, Texas on August 13, 1935 to Clive and Mentie (Brown) Taylor. He was a dorm parent at Cal Farley’s Boys Ranch in the 1960s. That was a very special time for him. He retired from the Amarillo Fire Department after serving over 20 years. He spent the rest of his life in Boerne, Texas.
Troy was known for his sense of humor and practical jokes. He lived a blessed and full life. His grandchildren were the light of his life. There will never be another Troy Taylor.
Troy is survived by his wife, Minerva Taylor; his daughter, Vicki Yates; his stepdaughters, Amy Phillips and Ann Mounts; and his numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
