Troy was born on December 11, 1964 to the late Tex and Mary Tucker (nee Laggy) in Camden, NJ.  He spent his entire life in Gloucester City. He signed up for the Army Reserves in his senior year of high school to become a mechanic. After years of trying times, he finally achieved his dream of owning his own business in 2001. Troy opened NARON’s Auto Service on Broadway in Gloucester City, also known as Troy’s Auto. Troy loved football and enjoyed watching games with his family. He was a lifelong fan of the Minnesota Vikings and a season ticket holder of the Philadelphia Soul. He coached the Oaklyn Cougars Midget team for years, as well as Lacrosse and wrestling. He also played fastpitch hard ball for the Gloucester County Phillies as a catcher.

Troy is survived and dearly missed by his wife Joy E. Tucker (nee Jessurun), his daughter, Krystal Tucker and her wife Michelle, Timmy Tucker and his wife Rachel, Zach Finley and his lifelong girlfriend Anna, his son Ryan Tucker and the late Troy N Tucker, Jr. He is also survived by his granddaughter, Savannah Rose;  brother Joseph and his wife Mel and his sister Debbie and her husband Tim. He will also be missed by many nieces and nephews, additional family members and friends.
