Troy Charles Leishman, 47, of Idaho Falls, passed away February 20, 2018, at Sheep Creek above the Palisades Reservoir, as the result of an avalanche.

Troy was born July 30, 1970, in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Bron Waldram Leishman and Christine Beryl Rasmussen Leishman. He grew up and attended schools in Rexburg and graduated from Madison High School in 1988. He also attended Ricks College and Utah State University where he earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Range Science. He served an LDS mission in the Washington D.C. South Mission from 1989 to 1991.

On June 26, 1992, he married Monica Anderson, daughter of Wade and Marilyn Anderson of Rexburg, in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple. To this union were born five children, Jaden, Alexis, Danner, Sage, and Regan. Troy and Monica made their home in Idaho Falls, Idaho, where Troy owned and operated his own electrical business, TL Electric, for 18 years.
