Tristan Tyrell Trudeau, 22, died at his home in Ames, Iowa, Wednesday, May 12, 2021. He was born October 30, 1998 in Carroll, Iowa to Shawna Lenee Trudeau & Christopher Michael Wiederin.
Tristan had many jobs along the way, he was a hard worker and gave it his all. He graduated from Johnston High School, Johnston, Iowa and then attended DMACC for welding. He was presently a cook at Buffalo Wild Wings.
Survivors include mothers, Shawna Trudeau and Sara Drake, father, Christopher Wiederin, brother, Dylan Trudeau, sisters, Pieper Wiederin and Alexa Riesselman, grandparents Linda Trudeau and Paul Kaufmann, Thomas and Susan Drake, Maureen Wiederin and countless other friends and family. Preceding him in death was Danny (PeePaw) Wiederin.
Tristan embraced life to its fullest, was the light of the party and hell on wheels from the day he was born. His mothers and brother will often tell stories about the Spring Break family vacations they took together. Everything was more fun when Tristan was around – with his quick wit, endless charm, boundless energy and unique perspective on life. Tristan and Dylan would always do spontaneous things, such as walking along the edge of the Grand Canyon, jumping off abandoned bridges in Key West and hanging out on the Vegas strip. Tristan also enjoyed being in nature, especially hiking, fishing and hunting with his father, Cris. During the summer, he could be found working with his grandmother, Linda, in her prolific garden.
