Treva Marie Stevens passed away June 24, 2023 at the age of 93. Treva was born on July 4, 1929 to Dewey and Eva (Richards) Spiess in Liberty Township, Ohio. She married Richard E. Stevens on November 2 1947 and they celebrated over 66 years together. They had two children: Richard Lee (Elizabeth) Stevens and Sally Ann (Alan) Speer.
She attended Liberty Center Public School where she graduated as Co-Valedictorian in 1947. She later attended Bowling Green State University where she graduated Magma Cum Laude in 1964. She taught in the Liberty Center school system of 26 years, retiring in 1984. She was a member of the OEA, Henry County Retired Teachers, and served as the first president of the LC Teachers Association. Treva was a member of the Liberty Center United Methodist Church where she was active as youth superintendent, secretary of the UMW, Sunday School secretary, and counted the offering for over 40 years.
Treva is survived by her daughter Sally, brother Arlo, and sisters Lila Trask and Ula Kessler. Treva was preceded in death by her parents, husband Richard E., son Richard Lee, brothers Marvin and Gareld; sisters Jo Beck and Arvis Weaks.
