Tresa Trudy Carpenter, 88, of Columbia, formerly of Clark, died Thursday, March 30, 2017, at the Neighborhoods by Tiger Place in Columbia.  Tresa was born May 7, 1928 in Clark, to John Harold “Mike” and Emma Christina (Blaise) Ridgeway.

She was a homemaker and a member of the Clark Christian Church.  Tresa was a former member of the Pink Ladies Auxiliary at Boone Hospital for over 30 years, and had previously sold real estate in the Moberly and Columbia areas.

She married Garett Henry Carpenter on February 15, 1947 in Clark, and he preceded her in death on February 9, 1998.  Also preceding her in death were her parents, and two brothers, Hugh Ridgeway and Keneth Ridgway.

Survivors include a daughter Debbie Wilson and husband George of Clark; a son Garrett “Kent” Carpenter and wife Belinda of Macon; four grandchildren, Patrick Wilson, Allison Wilson, Michelle Price, and Meghan Flanagan; one sister Joan Dougherty and husband Jerry of Clark; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She loved and adored playing with children of friends and family.
