Kirschner, Tregon Lee
Passed away unexpectedly early Christmas morning. He was born in Fairfax, Virginia to his parents, Marvin Kirschner and Sally Kirschner on February 21, 1967.
He was a devoted husband, and beloved son and brother. He is survived by his wife, Pamela Jean Kirschner; his mother, Sally Kirschner (Richmond); and his father, Marvin Kirschner and his wife Fran Kirschner (Mason City, IA); his sisters, Cynthia (Tia) Kirschner with husband John Howarth (Richmond, VA) and Carly Gerbig with husband Chad Gerbig (Alexandria, VA). He is also survived by his many four legged children (three horses, two dogs, and seventeen cats). Additionally he has a host of beloved extended family, primarily from Avella, PA, and his many friends, several life-long.
Tregon began early in the restaurant industry and served in management for many years. In August, 2000, he happily transitioned to the International Union of Elevator Constructors, Local #10 and was a proud member since that time, earning his Mechanics status in 2005.
Tregon was tenacious and full of energy, rarely resting. He took great care of his 13 acre homestead (his “farm”) and even greater care of his wife. He had many talents and was creative and determined. He always had projects going, and was proudest of his man cave. Most treasured was his bar top, which was fashioned with photos of all with whom he was closest. Tregon and Pamela spent countless hours generously entertaining friends and family and regaling them with their stories and his midnight serenades. He was passionate about the Washington Redskins, the Florida State Seminoles, and Budweiser.
Family and friends are reeling from his unexpected departure. He was truly a survivor and those closest to him teased him of his “nine lives.” He survived being hit by a car at age 9, a skateboard accident at 11, a broken neck at 18, a near drowning, multiple car accidents, and recently won a battle against an aggressive form of cancer. All who knew Tregon loved him and his passion for life.
