Travis Wayne Hugentobler, 21. Beloved son, brother, and friend passed away on March 21, 2009 as a result of a dirt biking accident near Hanksville, Utah.

Travis loved the Savior, his fellowman, and life itself.  He recently returned from serving an LDS mission in the Jamaica Kingston Mission.  He served the Lord and the people of Jamaica and the Caymans with all his might, mind, and strength.  He loved the people he served and lightened the burdens of all with whom he came in contact.  He was an example of Christ-like love and raised the bar for all who knew him.  Travis’ influence was felt and known wherever he went.  He worked hard to make sure everyone felt loved and accepted and brought many souls unto Christ.

He was born in Salt Lake City, UT and at an early age it was evident that nothing could stop his determination and drive.  He always had something going on.  Travis was a hard worker and while a high school student, worked as a finish carpenter for Brian Lee.  There were many nights that Travis would stay late into the night to finish a job then go home to do homework until the early morning hours.  He was an EagleHigh School honors student and graduate.

He was dedicated and gave 100% to anything he did.  Being with Travis was always an adventure.  He was fearless and encouraged all to step up and do their best.  Travis was just finishing winter semester at BYU Idaho and loved Rexburg, his friends and his sweet little honey.  It was a pure joy to have known Travis and to have been his friend; he was a true disciple of Christ.  May he rest in the arms of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ for eternity.  We all look forward to the day when we can see him again.

He is survived by his parents, Mel & Jodie Thorne Hugentobler, Shelli Christensen Hugentobler; grandparents, Merilyn Hugentobler, Sam & Jeanette Christensen, David & Connie Thorne, Jolene & Eldon Fontenot; brothers, Ryan Clarke, Jordan, Nick, Ben, Quinn, & Joel Hugentobler; sister, Melanie Hugentobler; many aunts, uncles, cousins, & friends.  He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Merz W. Hugentobler.
