Travis Jay Savini, age 48, of Logansport, passed away suddenly on Thursday afternoon, the result of a tragic vehicular accident on US Highway 35 just north of Davis Road in Howard County.
Travis was born November 24, 1974, in Logansport, and was the son of Steven and Theresa Hettinger Savini. Travis’ father and his wife, Beth, survive, residing in Logansport. His mother, Theresa, has passed away.
Travis attended Logansport High School and was currently employed at Myers Spring Company.
He was a Harley-Davidson enthusiast and had a huge collection of Coca-Cola memorabilia.
A guy with a lot of energy, he always had a project of fixing cars, repairing anything and making money wheeling and dealing.
Surviving are his daughter, Whitney Savini, and her mother, Amy Savini, both of Peru; his beloved fiancé, Christina De La Cruz, and their daughter, Iyana De La Cruz.
Also surviving are a brother, Brandon Savini, Logansport; aunts and uncles, Marcina and Jerry Coble, Terry Savini, Ron Savini, Tom Hettinger, Brian and Jessica Hettinger and Bob and Ruth Hettinger; a large number of cousins.
He was also preceded in death by his grandparents and two aunts.
Friends may greet Travis’ family from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m.
