Tracie Anna Pals Sakel, age 95 years 11 months, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 14, 2020, in DeMotte, IN. She was born May 13, 1924, in Phoenix, IL, the only daughter of John and Grace (Wyma Prins) Yonkman.
Tracie was a longtime member of Bethany Christian Reformed Church in South Holland, IL, where she was a church organist for over 50 years. After moving to DeMotte, she joined the First Christian Reformed Church and the Gideons. Tracie was also an accomplished pianist, and a skilled seamstress, and loved caring for her home and spending time with her family.
Tracie is survived by her two daughters, Cheri (John) Tuinstra and Patty (Clarence) Oudman; 6 grandchildren, Jon, Todd (Lisa), Tricia (Steve), Tim (Heather), Julie (Dan), Rebekah (Luke); and 13 great-grandchildren.
Tracie was preceded in death by Herbert T Pals, her husband of 48 years (d: 1993), and Lynn Lary Sakel, her husband of 20 years (d: 2016), as well as her two brothers, Nicholas Yonkman and Henry Yonkman. Burial is at Oak Ridge Cemetery in Lansing, IL.
