HAVERHILL – Toula (Limnios) Petrou, the beloved wife of the late William “Bill” Petrou, of Haverhill, passed peacefully on September 18, 2015, at the age of 90.
She was born in Haverhill on November 30, 1924, the daughter of Peter and Sophia Limnios. She was educated in Haverhill Schools before marrying the love of her life, Bill, to whom she was married for 57 years.
An icon in the City of Haverhill, Toula was loved by all who had the privilege of meeting her. She and Bill were instrumental in creating the “Restaurant District” in Downtown Haverhill by owning and operating several establishments: The Tap, Toula’s, and Bradford Tavern to name a few.
