Tonya Carlson, left our presence on June 28th, 2013. She was born in Fort Sill, Oklahoma on April 18th, 1967.
She will be greatly missed by those who loved her; her husband, Steve Carlson; her son and daughter, Jake and Emily; her mother and step-father, Judith and Gene Nurnberg; her sister, Kara Freck; her step sister and brother Michelle Middleton and Rob Nurnberg; her mother-in-law, Anne Carlson; many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews; and special friends Kristen Proulx, and Heidi Traver. She was predeceased by her father, Wayne Schiavino.
Tonya was a member of the Class of 1985 at Merritt Island High School and later received an A.S. degree in architectural drafting. A strong believer in volunteerism, Tonya was a former president of the Merritt Island Jaycees and donated her time to other organizations. She loved working with her friends as a florist.
