Tony Herschel Hinton, age 55, of Dacula, GA passed away on Tuesday, September 8, 2020.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Gwinnell Porter Carlyle; his father, Herschel Hinton; and his step-father, Winford Carlyle.
Mr. Hinton is survived by his wife of twenty-nine years, Jackie Smith Hinton, Dacula; son, Tony Jackson Hinton, Dacula; mother-in-law, Sara Mae Smith, Winder, GA; sisters-in-law, Debbie Ferguson, Winder, Lynn Norris, St. Simons Island, GA, Becky (David) Curl, Dacula; close family friend, Shirley Wilson, Bethlehem, GA; aunts, Ruth Knight, Lawrenceville, GA and Martha Pugh, Cleveland, GA; uncle, Lamar Porter, Sugar Hill, GA; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Mr. Hinton was born on November 3, 1964 in Lawrenceville, GA.
He was a 1982 graduate of Dacula High School, and was employed with the Gwinnett County Public Schools System with twenty-nine years of service. Mr. Hinton was a member of Ebenezer Baptist Church in Dacula, GA where he sang in the choir, and he was a member of Ambassador Sunday School class. He was an avid gardener.
