Tony Edwin Kennedy departed this life and entered his eternal home on Saturday, October 22, 2022. Tony, affectionately known as “Black” was born on August 22, 1965, in Washington, D.C. He was the second of four children born to Edgar and Lula Kennedy, Jr.

As a young child Tony’s magnetic smile, infectious laugh, and unwavering spirit manifested throughout his life. Growing up in Central Park Black he was a youth league football and baseball star, he relentlessly excelled and loved everything he did from sports to music. Black was loyal and loved his family more than anything, he kept that same love and loyalty to his childhood friends who were also like family to him. Tony graduated from Crossland High School in Temple Hill, MD.  His greatest joy was becoming a dad to his daughter, the love of his life, Quaneisha.

Tony enjoyed a rewarding career as a Plumbing.  His work ethic and passion for his trade resulted with him running a lucrative business doing what he loved best.

Throughout the years he kept his faith and turned his life over to the Lord becoming a member of the First Baptish Church of Highland Park. Black’s love for life inspired us all and knowing he is now living his best life, will continue to inspire us.

Tony leaves to cherish his memory, his loving parents, Edgar and Lula Kennedy, his daughter, Quaneisha Glover, and a beautiful new granddaughter, Harmani, a very special friend, Nichole Wright, three siblings: Carl “Bam” Goree, Robin Mack (Harry), and Autumn Kennedy. Nephews:  Carl Goree Jr, Jace and Blake Joynes, nieces: Roshunda Spencer (Reggie), and Riayn Mack. Aunts: Bertha Kennedy and Rose Rumley, Uncles: W.T. Goree and Willie Goree, along with a host of cousins, great nieces and nephews, and many friends.
