Toni Michelle Morrill passed away on Wednesday, November 3, 2010 in the arms of her loved ones at the tender age of 19 after a two year battle with Ewing’s Sarcoma Cancer. She is survived by her devoted fiancAC., David Cummings and her beautiful 2 year old little girl, Arianna Lee Cummings. She is the loving daughter of Robert and Frances (Hernandez) Morrill. She is the cherished sister of Elena Kotowski, Aaron Kotowski and Tenniell Gallmon. She is the adoring aunt of Faith Elena Gallmon and Nathan Marcus Gallmon. She was preceded by her beloved grandfather, Dr. Mauro A. Hernandez, who passed on August 30st in Santiago de Cuba, Cuba. She is also survived by loving grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins. Toni attended Nathan Hale-Ray High School in East Haddam, CT and spent half of her sophomore semester at Southwest High School in Minneapolis, MN. She loved cooking Thai food and really enjoyed salmon and lox and could never get enough white tuna sushi. As an artist, Toni created beautiful works of art inspired by nature and her daughter. She used many types of medium, including mosaic, paint, print and sculpture. She was also a talented, published Photographer. She recently completed a visual diary based on her experiences as a cancer patient during her two years of treatments. Athletically, Toni had the speed of a jaguar. She had the opportunity to run cross-country for Nathan Hale-Ray High School in her junior year of high school. Her family says, “When Toni ran the earth shook.” She even competed as a Green Belt in Kempo Karate. Her most enjoyment was when she was dancing. Toni danced hip-hop, jazz, tap and ballet for 8 years. When Toni danced the music conformed to her beats. Her passion was make-up artistry. She described her make-up style as “aggressive natural.” She even began working on a make-up line for cancer patients to make them feel beautiful no matter how they felt.
