Tommy Joe Walser, born in Chillicothe, Texas on November 17, 1930, went to be with the Lord August 5, 2004. He was a graduate of Quanah High School and served in the U.S. Navy from January 1951 to June 1954. He attended West Texas State prior to beginning his career with Sears Roebuck & Co. in 1955 where he retired in Houston, TX as Regional Service Manager in January 1991. Tom is survived by his wife of 53 years Melva Jo, son David and his wife Sheryl, son Daryl and his wife Eyvonne, son Duane daughter Lisa Newsom and her husband Allan, sister Peggy Blake and her husband Kenneth, 9 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren, and 6 nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by parents Walt and Irene, sister Gwendolyn “Sis” and brother Wallace. He had a love for flying and was a long time private pilot and aircraft owner. Tom and Jo have resided in Fair Oaks Ranch, TX since 1999.
