DANIEL, Tommy E., age 66, of Battle Creek, passed away Tuesday afternoon, May 4, 2010 at the VA Medical Center in Battle Creek. He was born December 27, 1943 in Galien, MI, the son of Thomas and Sally Carnell Daniel. A proud veteran who loved his country, Tommy served in the United States Army during the Vietnam Conflict. He was also employed at the VA Medical Center in Battle Creek for over 35 years until his retirement in 2004. On December 17, 1988, he was united in marriage to Elizabeth Green.
Tommy was a life member of the Augusta-Custer V.F.W. Post # 7956, an avid fisherman and enjoyed tending his gardens. He was a kind man and will be missed by all who knew him. Surviving are his wife of 21 years, Liz Daniel; daughter, Judy Daniel of Orange Park, Florida; granddaughter, Meghan Daniel; two brothers, T.J. Pat Daniel of Augusta, and Randel Patty Daniel of Galesburg; and several nieces and nephews. Preceding him in death were his parents and sister, Julia Bugg.
