Tom Tabor, 65 of Salem, Illinois passed away March 1, 2022 at Salem Township Hospital. Born June 5, 1956 in Salem, he was the son of Clarence and Phyllis M. (Webb) Tabor. Tom was a mechanic for Salem Tire Center for 37 years. He had an interest in southern rock music and sports.
He was an avid fan of the Fighting Illini and the Kansas City Chiefs. Most important to him was his family, and his greatest interest was spending time with his grandchildren. He was of the Baptist faith. He married Sandra K. Weatherford, August 25, 1990 and she survives in Salem.
Also surviving is their son, David (Samantha) Carlson of Salem, and grandchildren Ava, Austin and Axel Carlson. Also left to mourn his passing are his brothers, Tim Tabor of Odin and Mark Tabor of Salem, sister Diane Isenhour of North Carolina, along with several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by brothers Bill Webb, Gary E. Tabor and Jake Tabor, and sister, Margaret Gordon. Simple cremation was selected.
