He was preceded in the death by his parents David and Katie Lee Kelly Sr., his son Tommie Joe Kelly Jr., his brothers, David Jr., Leon, James, Esaw, Jerry Kelly , and 1 sister Mary Kelly Kent, and Mother in law the Honorable Carrie Kent Brown.
Tommie Joe Kelly Sr. went to Liberty County High School. In June 1967, he married Francine Kent and to their union four children were born. He worked on Fort Stewart as a cook for 10 years.
Tommie Joe leaves to mourn his loving wife of 57 years, Francine Kelly and three (3) children : George (Alice Hines) Kent of Walthourville, Ga , Herbert (Jennifer) Kelly of Midway, Shannon (Daniel Jr. ) Fleming of Midway, Ga. Brothers, David (Patricia) Kelly of Hephzibah, Ga, Emmett (Cynthia) Kelly of Lithonia Springs, Ga, Joseph (Louise) Kelly of Ludowici, Ga, and Dean Kelly of Ludowici, Ga, sisters Mae Frances (Grady) Anderson of Walthourville, Ga. Cynthia (Ronnie) Turner of Riverdale, Ga, and Josephine Epps of Disputana, VA.
Sadetirs Smith of Brunswick, Ga; a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, niece,s nephews, other relatives and friends.
