Tommie I. Emerson Records, 83, Anderson, passed away November 23, 2008 at Methodist Hospital-Indianapolis after an extended illness. She was born October 25, 1925 in Belton, Texas, and resided in Anderson since 1946.

She retired from Anderson City School Corporation, working as school secretary for Longfellow Elementary and 29th Street Schools, the Registrar at Southside Middle School, secretary to E.G. Ebbert, the Superintendent of Schools, and secretary to Robert Stinson, the Assistant Superintendent of Schools. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church and Lady Elks.

Tommie was an avid Bridge and card player. She loved playing cards.

She is survived by her son, Frank Connie Records of Anderson; daughter, Judy John Lawhon of Sun City Center, Florida; sister, Doris David Pinkston of Albequerque, New Mexico; grandchildren, Lori L. Rick Britton of Brownsburg and James R. Record of Anderson; great grandchildren, Simon, Emily and Sophie Britton, Kolton Sandefur, Korbin and Kloe Records, Kaden and Kayler Moore, and special friends, Billie Clark and Mary Jo Collins.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert G. Records who passed away August 18, 1986; parents, Thomas & Ruby Whitley Emerson and two sisters, Louise Foyt and Florence Shepperd.
